Translation
TValue: Wishlist provides built-in translations for most popular languages.
In most cases, you do not need to translate wishlist text manually. Wishlist widgets automatically use the current locale of your Shopify store, so shoppers see wishlist text in the right language.
Automatic translation
Automatic translation applies to shopper-facing wishlist text such as:
- Wishlist button labels
- Wishlist page and popup text
- Variant selection popup text
- Save wishlist contact popup text
- Require login prompt text
- Floating button text
- Toast messages
If your store language is supported, these widgets should display the matching language automatically.
If the language does not look right
If your storefront wishlist text does not appear in the expected language, the language may not be supported automatically yet.
Contact us from the app and tell us which language your store needs. We will add support for it as quickly as possible, usually within 5-10 minutes.
Override a translation
If you are not happy with the wording of a specific field, you can override our automatic translation.
Use this when you want wishlist text to match your brand voice, tone, or preferred terminology.
- Open Display > Translation.
- Select the language you want to edit.
- Update the wishlist text field.
- Save your changes.
- Check the storefront in that language.
