Auto show wishlist button
Use Auto show wishlist button to control where TValue: Wishlist places wishlist buttons automatically.
Open Display > Widgets > Auto show wishlist button to manage:
- Collection buttons on product cards
- Product page buttons near the main product form
- Custom placement rules for advanced theme layouts
Product page
Use Product page settings to show a wishlist button on product pages.
You can configure:
- Auto show on product pages: enables or disables the product page wishlist button.
- Position: places the button Above cart button or Below cart button.
- Button style: selects one of the shared wishlist button style presets.
For most stores, this is the main wishlist button shoppers use before adding a product to cart.
If your theme needs additional support, the product page button may appear but not fully match your theme design until a theme preset is prepared.
Collection
Use Collection settings to show wishlist buttons on product cards on your theme's main collection pages.
You can configure:
- Auto show on collections: enables or disables wishlist buttons on product listings.
- Position: places the button at the Top left, Bottom left, Top right, or Bottom right of product cards.
- Button style: selects one of the shared wishlist button style presets.
Collection placement depends more heavily on theme structure than product page placement. Some themes need a preset before collection buttons can be placed automatically.
If collection auto show is not supported yet
If TValue: Wishlist does not have collection placement support for your theme yet, the app shows a warning inside the Collection section.
This does not mean the app is broken. TValue has recorded the theme and our team can prepare support for it.
You do not need to create custom placement rules just because collection auto show is not supported yet. In most cases, waiting for the theme preset is the cleaner path.
Button style
Product page and collection buttons use shared button style presets.
After choosing a style, use Change style configs if you need to adjust the selected style.
For deeper style changes, see Wishlist button styles.
Custom placement
Use Custom placement only for advanced theme work.
When TValue supports a theme, we try to cover the important wishlist entry points across that theme, not only the main product page and main collection page.
Custom placement lets you add placement rules manually for special layouts that may still need a specific rule. A rule can target:
- Product listings: search results, recommendation sections, special collection layouts, and other product listing areas
- Main product: product pages and featured product sections
Each rule can include selectors for the product item, product link, injection target, button position, button style, and custom CSS.
Custom placement requires theme selector knowledge. Most merchants should use automatic placement and let TValue prepare theme support when needed.
For detailed steps, see Custom placement.
