Back in stock alert

The Back in stock alert automation notifies shoppers when a product in their wishlist becomes available again.

Use it to bring shoppers back when an item they wanted can be purchased.

Open it from Emails > Automations > Back in stock alert.

How the flow works

The back in stock alert flow has two nodes:

  • Trigger: when a wishlisted product is back in stock.
  • Send email: sends the back in stock alert email.

Click a node to open its settings sheet.

Trigger

The back in stock trigger is fixed:

When a wishlisted product is back in stock.

You do not need to configure a threshold for this automation. The email is based on inventory becoming available again for a product the shopper already saved.

Configure the email

Open the Send email node to configure:

  • Subject line
  • Preview text
  • Sender name
  • Sender email address
  • Reply-to, Cc, and Bcc
  • Email template

The Subject line is required. The Sender email address is read-only in this screen; if you want to change it or send from your brand email, contact us through chat.

Reply-to, Cc, and Bcc are optional.

Choose a template

A back in stock alert needs an email template before it can send a useful message.

You can choose a saved template or start from a library template, then edit it in the email editor.

Use a template that makes the product clear and gives shoppers a direct path back to the product page.

Enable the automation

After the email content is ready, click Enable on the back in stock alert page.

You can review sent back in stock emails in Email history.
