Wishlist reminder

The Wishlist reminder automation sends an email after a shopper adds products to their wishlist.

Use it to bring shoppers back to products they already showed interest in.

How the flow works

Open Emails > Automations > Wishlist reminder.

The page shows a flow with three nodes:

  • Trigger: when someone adds a product to their wishlist.
  • Time delay: waits before sending and groups wishlist items added during the delay.
  • Send email: sends the reminder email with your subject, sender, and template.

Click a node to open its settings sheet.

Trigger

The trigger is fixed for this automation:

When someone adds a product to their wishlist.

There is no extra trigger setup for wishlist reminders.

Configure the time delay

Open the Time delay node to choose when the reminder should be sent.

You can configure:

  • Wait before sending and consolidate wishlist items for: set the delay amount and unit.
  • Delay until a specific time of day: send at a preferred time.
  • Timezone: use the recipient's local timezone, shop timezone, or a selected timezone.
  • Delay until specific days of the week: limit sends to selected weekdays.

How wishlist items are grouped

Wishlist reminder is designed to avoid sending one email for every single saved product.

When a shopper adds a product to their wishlist, TValue starts the reminder delay. Any other products the same shopper adds during that delay can be grouped into the same reminder email.

For example, if a shopper saves several products before the delay ends, the reminder email can include those saved products together instead of sending separate reminders.

Use the delay settings to control how long TValue should wait before sending the reminder. A shorter delay follows up faster. A longer delay gives shoppers more time to save multiple products before one grouped reminder is sent.

If you enable Delay until a specific time of day, the grouped reminder waits until the selected send time. If you enable Delay until specific days of the week, the reminder waits until an allowed day.

Here is a simplified example, assuming the delay is set to 2 hours:

TimeEventWhat TValue does
10:00Shopper adds Product A to wishlistStarts the first reminder delay, scheduled for 12:00
10:20Shopper removes Product A from wishlistProduct A is no longer included in the reminder
10:30Shopper adds Product B to wishlistAdds Product B to the current reminder batch
12:00Reminder email is sentSends the first reminder with Product B
12:15Shopper adds Product C to wishlistStarts a new reminder delay, scheduled for 14:15
12:40Shopper adds Product D to wishlistAdds Product D to the new reminder batch
14:15Reminder email is sentSends the next reminder with Product C and Product D

Use a discount to help shoppers decide

A wishlist reminder works best when it gives shoppers a clear reason to come back.

If you want to make the reminder more persuasive, add a Discount block to the email template. This lets you include a discount code or discount message directly inside the reminder email.

Discounts are especially useful when shoppers saved products but have not returned to buy yet. The reminder brings the saved products back into view, while the discount gives them an extra reason to complete the purchase.

Configure the email

Open the Send email node to configure:

  • Subject line
  • Preview text
  • Sender name
  • Sender email address
  • Reply-to email address
  • Cc email address
  • Bcc email address
  • Email template

The Subject line is required.

The Sender email address is read-only. If you want to change the sender email or send from your brand email address, contact us through chat in the app.

Reply-to, Cc, and Bcc are optional.

Choose a template

Wishlist reminder emails need an email template.

From the Send email node, choose a saved template or browse the template library. You can edit templates in the email editor.

For broader template management, see Email templates.

Enable the automation

After the delay, subject, sender, and template are ready, click Enable on the wishlist reminder page.

You can review sent reminder emails in Email history.
